I’ve never been to Bali, but it is high on my “must see if I win the lottery” list. It looks so exotic and paradise-like and for some reason, I’ve always had a fascination with that part of the world. And who can resist sandy beaches, turquoise waters and palm trees?
The other day, I came across a short article about a Dutch/New Caledonian couple who live there full time and totally fell in love with their home. It is actually three traditional Indonesian houses they found on Java, had taken apart, shipped to Bali, and re-built. And as if the gorgeousness of the villa and decor is not enough, it is located a few minutes from the beach in Seminyak.
The table! The chairs! The chandelier! Absolute perfection.
So airy and “islandy” but cozy at the same time (love pillows on floors, and that dresser…!)
