I found the Calou clogs on my visit to family in Stockholm in 2007 and went searching for them last summer when we were back again. Anne Louise Nordin who was the designer at Calou left the company and now sells her own brand that looks quite like the Calou clogs. They can be found in Gamla Stan at Kempes. A few months ago when I was getting desperate for a new pair of Calou clogs, Carina at Calou had a pair made for me and shipped them to me here in Berkeley, CA. It was such fun to be able to have just what I was wishing for! Tomorrow night I am hosting a clog party -- two Swedish women from Skane will be here with their line of clogs that look much like a cross between the Hasbeens and the Maguba ones you show. It was not hard for me to get 25+ friends to show up to buy clogs! I too am so happy they are back in style. Believe it or not, I wore clogs to my 8th grade graduation in 1975.
